Brad Penny - SP - Los Angeles Dodgers
Penny had a great year last season with a 16-4 record and a 3.03 ERA but there are reasons aplenty to think he won't touch those numbers this season. Despite pitching in 19 more innings than the previous season, his strikeouts went down and should continue to go further down as Penny is getting older now. He did most of his quality work in the first half of the season and then had some control issues in the second half where his ERA was almost a run-and-a-half higher than the first part of the year. Also, the HRs he gave up last year were unreal and trended wayyy upward in the second part of the season. He won't be a horrible pitcher but if you are expecting his ERA to be as good as last year's, think again.
Predicted numbers: 14-10, 4.21 ERA, 132 Ks
